Angthong National Marine Park tour
from Koh Phangan

Angthong National Marine Park is a breathtaking national park with 42 islands.

We did a full day boat trip from Koh Phangan and loved it! Our trip was booked through Viator – Check it out.

How does the trip look like:

You take off from Koh Phangan in a speedboat. Then head to Angthong National Marine Park with your local guide. Here you will explore the beauty of the national park and some of the paradise islands.

First stop:
The first stop is a snorkeling spot. We were snorkeling in a cave – So cool!

Second stop:
The second stop is the island Ko Wua Ta Lab, there you will find a hike Pha Jun-Jaras Nature Trail which includes some amazing viewpoints.
On this hike you discover breathtaking views of the small islands surrounded by crystal clear turquoise water – This is probably the most beautiful place I have visited in Thailand!
The trail is steep and the elevation is 500 meters. There are multiple breathtaking viewpoints on the path.
Hiking all those steps in the heat, I have never been sweating so much in my entire life! The tropical heat combined with all the stairs was tough, but the view was worth every drop of sweat.

Tips to the hike:
– Drink lot of water.
– Wear comfortable shoes, we did it in flip flops and it’s possible – but not the best.

If you don’t want to do the hike, you can enjoy time on the beach.

Third stop:
The third stop is Tam Rang Beach on the island Ko Mae Ko. Here you will enjoy a lunch on the beach.
After lunch it’s time for a kayaking tour to one of the other islands. You will paddle close to the impressive limestone walls.
