Welcome to this tropical paradise called Thailand. We had a 1-month adventure in Thailand filled with temples, palm trees, beaches, island life, big city life, markets, snorkeling, beautiful viewpoints, the biggest water fight in the world and so much more.
It was my second time in this beautiful country and definitely not the last time!
If you’re curious on how travel expenses can look like when you visit this paradise, keep on reading. In this post I share cost transparency to make it easier for you to create a travel budget for your trip. Thailand travel costs
We visited Bangkok, Hua Hin, Koh Phangan and Krabi. We spent 10 days together with our friends.
Here is what we spend per person for 1 month in Thailand:
Transportation: $181 – $6 per day
This includes taxi, tuk tuk, bus and boats.
This is WITHOUT our flight tickets to Thailand from Oman – here we paid: $283 per person.
Accommodations: $868 – $31 per day
Most of the time we stayed in nice hotels. In Hua Hin we shared a villa with our friends.

Food: $580 – $21 per day
We have been eating a mix between local dishes and western food. We ate so much delicious food.
If you have a tight budget you can find cheap street food and food options in 7-eleven.
Experiences: $268 – $10 per day
This includes entrance fees to temples, guide and transportation to markets, massages, yoga, ATV in the jungle, water guns to celebrate Thai New Year and a boat trip in a national park with snorkeling, kayaking and food.
Other: $16 – $1 per day
This includes eSIM card, hairdresser and a few other things.
Total: $1913 – $69 per day

2 of the weeks were in Koh Phangan – You can find what we specifically spent on our 2 weeks stay on this island here: Koh Phangan travel costs.
Thailand is definitely worth the money!
